KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL PROGRAM

FRANCINE'S FRUIT

Life Systems

  • Through exploration and investigation, your young scientists will learn about different fruits and where they grow. They’ll have a chance to communicate their findings with each other and through active play discover how seeds turn into plants!
PRIMARY SCHOOL PROGRAM

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?

Coding, Life Systems

  • It’s un-bee-lievably fun! In this engaging program, students explore the fascinating world of bees. Learning about their life cycle from egg to adult. Through hands‑on activities, they’ll discover the different jobs and roles within a beehive, from hardworking nurse bees to the essential queen. Students are introduced to the waggle dance and learn how bees communicate important information to their colony. Then students take on the exciting challenge to program a Bee‑bot to navigate using simple coding. The session combines storytelling, movement, and tactile exploration to build curiosity and understanding about real bee behaviour.
JUNIOR SCHOOL PROGRAMS

SURVIVOR: NORTHERN ONTARIO

Life Systems

  • Can you Outwit, outplay, and outlast your fellow classmates? Welcome to Survivor: Northern Ontario! In this program, students will learn the ins and outs of our Northern Ontario ecosystems. They’ll explore what it takes for plants and animals to survive — from finding resources, to adapting to harsh weather, to evading predators, plants and animals are as tough as they come. Students must work together to solve challenges, identify clues from nature, and make smart survival decisions. Are you up for the challenge?

ZIP TO THE FINISH

Structures and Mechanisms

  • Zip lines are becoming increasingly more popular around the world. While they are fun for the adventurous, there is an incredible amount of physics, math and engineering involved in their creation. After learning about forces that influence objects in our world and testing out a gear system, your young extreme athletes will design, build and test a zip line. Following the activity they’ll have a chance to experience a zip line in real life!
INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL PROGRAMS

BIOHACKING

Coding, Life Systems

  • You’ve got a lot of nerves! In this interactive program, students explore how the nervous system works and how the brain sends and receives information throughout the body. They’ll learn how electrical signals travel along neurons to help us move, sense, and react to the world around us. This workshop also introduces neuroprosthetics, showing how scientists can use technology to restore movement and communication for people with limb loss or mobility challenges. Students will even get to see their own brain’s electrical activity in real time using EMG technology. This hands‑on experience helps learners understand both the science of the nervous system and the exciting innovations it inspires.

MISSION TO MARS

Coding, Earth and Space

  • Houston, we have a problem! It’s up to your class to use coding to take on the Mars Rover challenge. Take a journey into the world of space exploration to investigate our neighbouring red planet, Mars. Your young aerospace engineers will design, build, and code a Mars rover using LEGO® Spike robots. Students will connect many fields of science in this engaging, out-of-this-world space program, including technology, engineering, geology, and coding.
